Based in Sacramento, California, Sweetologie is an appointment only custom cake design and dessert company, primarily run by me, Aileen, with help from my husband, Ryan, out of our home.

Before Sweetologie was created, I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in business with a focus on marketing as well as a minor in graphic design and psychology which led to a career in advertising. However, after several years, I decided to leave advertising to follow my passion as well as start a family.

My cake education started at the age of 5 when I held my first piping bag and helped bake my first cake from scratch. At the age of 12 I crafted my first sugar flower (an intricate orchid) and placed it on the first ever wedding cake I worked on. Nearly 28 years after that very first cake, I still get excited and take pride in every new cake design I create, from unique flavor combinations to the very last detail placed on the cake.

Since starting on this journey of following my passion, I have worked at some of Sacramento's most well-known bakeries and have tens of thousands of hours of baking, decorating, and fondant/gumpaste work under my belt.

In addition to creating delicious cakes, I also enjoy photography, painting, and DIY projects.
